As we prepare for Week 10 action, one MLS club has announced a new partnership, while another let go of a player.

Stoke City announced a partnership with Orlando City SC on Friday. “It’s an opportunity for us to share best practice with Orlando in a variety of areas, primarily in player recruitment, marketing and development,” Stoke City Chief Executive Tony Scholes said, “but also to give both clubs chance to grow in each other’s markets.” (REPORT)

The Columbus Crew waived defender Amro Tarek on Thursday. Head coach Gregg Berhalter said the decision was made because it was difficult to provide him with first-team minutes with the club through nine weeks of MLS action. Tarek made one appearance for the Crew, coming on as a substitute against New York City FC on April 16. (REPORT)

On Friday, NYCFC announced it will open all levels at Yankee Stadium for the rivalry match against the New York Red Bulls on May 21. NYCFC has sold more than 30,000 tickets for the game already. (REPORT)

D.C. United and U.S. Men’s National Team defender Steve Birnbaum has reportedly received interest from Maccabi Haifa. (REPORT)

Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez thinks MLS will be one of the best leagues in the world. (REPORT)
